Driver Agreement

Last updated: April 26, 2026

This Agreement governs the relationship between Rumble Taxi and independent drivers who use the platform to provide transportation services to riders in Tunisia. By accepting Trips through the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Introduction

This Driver Agreement is between Rumble Taxi ("Rumble Taxi", "we") and you, an independent professional driver ("Driver", "you"). It governs your access to and use of the platform to provide transportation services to riders.

By signing in to the Driver app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to this Agreement, our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

2. Independent Contractor Status

You are an independent contractor and not an employee, partner, agent or joint-venturer of Rumble Taxi. Nothing in this Agreement shall create such a relationship. You retain full control over when, where and how you work. You are responsible for your own equipment, vehicle, taxes, social-security contributions and operating expenses.

3. Driver Eligibility

To use Rumble Taxi as a Driver, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (25 for premium products).
  • Hold a valid Tunisian driving licence held for at least 3 years.
  • Possess all licences, permits and authorisations required to operate as a transport provider locally.
  • Pass our background and identity-verification checks.
  • Have a clean driving record without serious traffic violations in the previous 36 months.
  • Provide a recent criminal record certificate, where permitted by law.

4. Vehicle Requirements

Your vehicle must:

  • Be in roadworthy condition, fully insured and registered for commercial use as required.
  • Have at least four (4) doors and seat-belts for all passengers.
  • Be no more than 12 years old (8 years for premium products).
  • Pass a Rumble Taxi vehicle inspection at onboarding and annually thereafter.
  • Be clean, free of strong odours and well maintained mechanically and visually.
  • Comply with any signage, livery or display requirements set by local authorities.

5. Documents and Verification

You must keep current copies of the following documents on file with Rumble Taxi at all times:

  • National identity card or passport.
  • Driving licence.
  • Vehicle registration (carte grise).
  • Mandatory third-party liability insurance.
  • Commercial transport authorisation, where applicable.
  • Recent vehicle technical-inspection certificate.
  • Recent profile photograph.

Failure to provide or update any document may result in suspension.

6. Driver Conduct

While using the Service, you must:

  • Drive safely and obey all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Treat riders with courtesy, respect and professionalism.
  • Not discriminate against riders on any prohibited basis.
  • Not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance impairing driving.
  • Not use the Driver app while the vehicle is in motion, except via a properly mounted hands-free holder.
  • Not pick up unaccompanied minors unless explicitly authorised by parents or guardians.
  • Maintain confidentiality of any rider information.

7. Earnings, Commissions and Payouts

Your earnings consist of the fare paid by the rider for each Trip, less:

  • A platform service fee (commission), disclosed in the Driver app and varying by product, city or promotion.
  • Applicable taxes.
  • Refunds, chargebacks or fare adjustments due to verified rider complaints.

Payouts are processed weekly to the bank account on file, subject to a minimum threshold. You can view earnings, fees and payout history in the Driver app.

8. Taxes and Compliance

You are solely responsible for calculating, withholding and remitting any taxes applicable to your activity, including income tax, VAT, social-security contributions and any local fees. Rumble Taxi may, where legally required, withhold taxes and issue corresponding statements. Keep accurate records of your earnings and provide them to the competent authorities upon request.

9. Insurance and Liability

You must maintain at all times the mandatory motor insurance required by Tunisian law, including third-party liability and any additional cover required for commercial passenger transport. Rumble Taxi may, at its discretion, provide additional contingent insurance cover during active Trips. You remain primarily responsible for any loss, damage or injury caused by your operations.

10. Ratings and Quality

Riders rate each Trip on a 1-to-5 star scale and may submit comments. Drivers must maintain a minimum rolling rating threshold and a minimum acceptance rate. Drivers below the thresholds will receive notifications, training resources and, if the situation persists, may be temporarily or permanently removed from the Service.

11. Data and Confidentiality

You acknowledge that you may have access to personal data of riders and other Rumble Taxi users. You agree to use such data solely for providing transportation services and to comply with applicable data-protection laws. You must not store, share or use rider data outside the Service.

12. Suspension and Termination

Rumble Taxi may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of this Agreement, fraud, safety concerns, regulatory requirements or any other reason permitted by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Outstanding payments will be settled within thirty (30) days of termination.

13. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, software and designs used in the Service remain the property of Rumble Taxi. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service strictly for the provision of transportation under this Agreement. You may not display, reproduce or modify any Rumble Taxi mark or material without our prior written consent.

14. Changes to This Agreement

We may amend this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Driver app or by email at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Tunisia. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Tunis, after a 30-day good-faith attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
